Hi Everyone:
Can you believe there are only 4 days until our long-awaited scrapbooking weekend? I am nowhere ready, but you can be sure by the time Friday rolls around, I will be.
Just a few reminders.
Don’t forget your entries for the scrapbook page contest:
1. Best photo(s)
2. Best journaling
3. Best overall
They need to be entered by 8:00 pm, Friday, November 13.
Below you'll find a general (and not so general) list of items to bring with you. Of course, you don’t need all of them. Or, some of you may have a lot more!!! If you forget something, there are plenty of us who probably have it.
If you would like to bring a snack, for the group, feel free. There has been a change in what we can bring. Apparently, the New Hampshire Board of Health has been cracking down on what foods can and cannot be brought into the hotel. In the past we were able to bring baked items (whether they were made in our homes or purchased at an outside bakery). We are no longer allowed to do that. We are allowed to bring in pre-packaged items. The contract did not say that fruits and cheeses were not allowed. I also did not specifically ask about those items, so I would assume they are fine. They are also cracking down on alcohol being brought in and consumed in common areas such as the lobby and all of the meeting rooms. You are allowed, however to bring it into your hotel rooms. This is a quote directly from an e-mail that Sandy of Eagle Mountain sent me when I questioned this.:
The Alcoholic Beverage policy basically states that the hotel must provide all liquor served and consumed in common areas/meeting rooms. As long as the alcohol is purchased from the hotel, you most certainly can drink it in the EMR. This is a statement in accordance with our liquor licensing that prohibits guests from bringing their own alcohol and consuming it anywhere outside their sleeping room.
There you have it.
There will be a bragging table for you to put your scrapbooks, projects, or just individual pages. We all get ideas from other people.
There will also be a “garage sale” or “swap” table. Bring whatever you don’t want or use anymore. Put it on the table and take something that is already there.
I’m really looking forward to this weekend. There will be lots of games, great fun and good food (and probably not a lot of sleep).
See you all on Friday at 3:00 (or after).
Peggy
